Split Second Story – Photo challenge

The Daily Post photo challenge theme this week is ‘Split Second Story’ and as this is a blog of six images per post, here are… Six.

Furthermore, I’ve just discovered dodge and burning – I wonder if I’ve overdone it a bit?

A tale of two tigers

There was high drama at Port Lympne animal park today as the tigers got fed for the first time in 4 days.

It started with a situation of first come first served.

Sun down on the water

Yesterday evening we walked the dog somewhere we don’t usually go. I wasn’t very optimistic that I’d come home with any shots… And, then the sun started to go down. Beautiful.

One of these images has been processed in black and white for Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness weekly challenge and another is an experiment in manipulating colour with Curves in Photoshop.

Drama at the sailing regatta

We were on the beach to watch the annual Bexhill rowing regatta but were distracted by the sailing which, considering the lack of wind, seemed fraught with its own mini narratives. The young lad in the first photo, who was more interested in dangling his feet over this side of the boat and experimenting in going backwards, made us laugh so much because he reminded us of our son, at that age, during a particular surfing holiday.
