The death of a culture – 6 shots from Dungeness beach

Taking the camera out for a walk across this unusual landscape, we got talking to an old local who told us the story of how life used to be in this little community before the sea started receding, children were discouraged from taking on the role of their impoverished fathers and the beach had become a graveyard for stranded, obsolete fishing boats, winches and net huts.DSC_0236 DSC_0247 DSC_0257 DSC_0286 DSC_0306 DSC_0316
