Another day comes to an end on the busy working beach that lays at Rock-a-Nore to the east of the town.
Some days it’s a breeze but on others, ideas seem to freeze.
I’ve been wandering around my ‘hood and looking at the decay of the architectural heritage bequeathed us by Decimus Burton and the Victorians. Oh, they did like to be beside the seaside… beside the sea. Ironic that the very cause to instigate such grandeur should also be the cause of its demise – maintaining these weather beaten buildings is a relentless battle that is seemingly being lost at the moment.
Skies are still mostly grey. Horrible wind from the North. Not really inclined to spend any amount of time outdoors. And, mostly it’s showing in the subjects of these photos.
It’s the 32nd Hastings Half Marathon and the event gets more popular every year. Three and a half thousand people, athletes and fun runners collecting money for charities ran the 13.5 miles today.
Nice, positive coverage by ITV here
They opened a new BMX/skate park and. although really not in the age range they are probably targeting, I had to go and take a look. What a fantastic resource for our youngsters – and for the town.
It’ll be a great place to go and practice sports photography – I’m quite pleased with these shots as it’s something that I’ve not done a lot of, but…. maybe could do better.
Well done to this up and coming local business – I hope you go from strength to strength.
I’ve been posting these daily on Facebook (because it’s easy and I’m lazy) but I’d like to keep a record here, where it’s nice to see them all together.
Not everyone a winner – personally, the challenge, especially on tired work days, is to come up with anything.
WordPress, I’ve been ignoring you. I’m sorry. I shall try to rectify that.
