Kingley Vale to Bosham

Sometimes my better half excels himself and so it was the case a few weekends ago when he packed us in the car and off we went towards West Sussex. Through a forest of ancient Yew trees at Kingley Vale to the top of the downs, we climbed before breakfast. On to Emsworth for a wander before heading to Dell Quay where we had a lovely early dinner in the Crown and Anchor – if you’re ever in that area it serves THE BEST dressed crab. And finally, for the finale, to Bosham, my favourite village on the South Coast, for sunset

A very small dog in a very big tree.
Fungi and a giant, killer slug
Yew planted for medieval long bows and arrows.
From the downs to the sea.
Time has passed since this boat last went to sea.
Waiting for dressed crab on the estuary side.
Land locked at low tide.
Sunset at Bosham.
